Together with the organizing committee, I am very pleased to be able to welcome you to the 6th Congress of Occupational Therapy 2024 in Friborg.
The motto of the congress is “Empowerment matters”. In doing so, we give importance to strategies and measures that increase the autonomy and self-determination of our clients. The overarching theme of the congress is “participation” and is particularly relevant. Our aim is to enable participation in school, at work, in leisure time and in social life, regardless of disabilities or limitations.
The 6th Congress of Occupational Therapy gives the clients themselves a voice. Their perspective is taken into account in the planning and at the congress itself. And we give meaning to practical actions. We look forward to lectures, workshops and posters that come from research and practical work.
“Empowerment matters” - this applies to our clients, but also to ourselves. The Occupational Therapy Congress 2024 will make a contribution to this.
