POSITION: TWO (2) PERMANENT PART TIME OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

SITE: NBRHC – NORTH BAY

HOURS: ALL SHIFTS AS REQUIRED

SALARY: FROM $40.37/HOUR TO $56.30/HOUR

The Occupational Therapist (OT) at NBRHC is an integral member of our Allied Health Team and will support all clinical programs in which care is provided. As a member of the rehabilitation team, you will be responsible to conduct assessments, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient focused care, and support with sustainable discharge planning. Occupational Therapists within our facility also participate in professional development, supervise students, and contribute to hospital initiatives that comply with and commit to patient safety, and NBRHC’s mission and values.



*QUALIFICATIONS*


*Certification/Experience/Knowledge:*
* Registered member in good standing, with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario required
* Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) required
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) Certificate required (within one year)
* Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire)
* Recent experience (within 2-3 years) in providing physical medicine rehabilitation in an acute care hospital setting required



*Skills/Abilities*:
* Authorizer with ADP is an asset
* Good attendance and work record required
* Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
* Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
* Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset.
