Accomack County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced *School Occupational Therapist* to join our team for the upcoming school year. This full-time role involves working closely with students, educators, and families to support student success and independence in the school setting.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a *caseload of approximately 20–25 students*
* Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for students across the school division
* Supervise and support *2 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)*
* Develop and implement individualized plans of care
* Complete *Medicaid billing* and documentation in compliance with district and federal guidelines
* Collaborate with school teams to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational plans
*Requirements:*
* *Minimum 2 years of school-based Occupational Therapy experience required*
* Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia
* Candidates must be physically *in Virginia at least 2 weeks prior to the start date* to complete mandatory onboarding requirements
* Includes *district fingerprinting, background check, and orientation*
* Fingerprinting cannot be completed out-of-state and *results must be on file prior to start date*
* Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
* Familiarity with special education processes and documentation
