CTS Early Intervention Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team! This position works within our Children Therapeutic Services program, providing quality support and therapy services for children and their families.

Essential Responsibilities:

Work as a member of the team (family, staff and other service providers) to provide quality supports and services for children and their families.

Participate in team evaluations to determine developmental status and initial or ongoing eligibility.

Develop IFSP's with other team members.

Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.

Provide occupational therapy services for children.

Write progress notes on time schedule addressing the child's strengths, needs and progress.

Complete record keeping as required by licensing/certifying agency.

Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace.

Make home visits and function as a service coordinator assisting parents in obtaining or coordinating other needed services. (NH, RI)

Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned

Assist in staff development and training.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in occupational therapy, or its equivalent, from a recognized college or university.

For those earning licensure prior to 2007, a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy is required.

Current license by the State Board of Registration in Medicine

Three years experience working with children as a therapist is preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Hours: 40 hours

Compensation: $70,000
