*All Care Therapies is *currently seeking a *Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)* to join our team in a home health setting! This is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving therapy team, now expanding to the Greater Las Vegas area. All Care Therapies delivers exceptional care for *pediatric patients* with various disorders and conditions. *COTA Responsibilities:*
* Treat *pediatric *patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function under the direction of the licensed ccupational therapist (OTR).
* Monitor a *pediatric *patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement.
* Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for *pediatric *patients.
* Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records.
* Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the *pediatric *patient's treatment program, under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
* Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain.
* Complete all clinical notes in a timely manner using the company’s EMR system.
* Verifies client information by interviewing client, reviewing, and recording medical history, confirming purpose of treatment.
* Follows treatment plan developed in collaboration with occupational therapist by teaching techniques, such as, the proper method of moving from a bed into a wheelchair, and the best ways to stretch and limber muscles.
* Monitors activities to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement, bringing treatment that is not having the intended effect to the attention of the therapist.
* Maintains *pediatric *patient occupational therapy records by recording client’s progress for use by the occupational therapist.
* Generates revenues by recording billing information of services rendered.
* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
* Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

*Qualifications*
* Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license *required*
* Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
* Current CPR certification
* At least one year of experience as a pediatric occupational therapy assistant is preferred, *not* required.
* Willingness to participate in continued education courses.
* Compassionate and caring demeanor.
* Current State drivers license and auto insurance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Possess good time management skills.
