Occupational Therapist

*Occupational Therapist Position - Central Rehabilitation (Kamloops/Central Interior)*

Central Rehabilitation is a small, forward-thinking occupational therapy private practice located in beautiful Kamloops, British Columbia. We provide community-based occupational therapy services for adults with physical, mental health, and brain injuries.

We are looking for 1-2 new full or part-time community OTs join our team! In this position, you will be your own boss as an independent contractor and will have flexibility to set your own hours and schedule. You will work in a rewarding and supportive environment with individuals with a wide range of presenting occupational issues, with a focus on PTSD.

*Key Responsibilities:*

· Completing occupational therapy assessments and interventions with clients in their homes and community in Kamloops and the Central Interior of BC.

· Supporting clients with setting and achieving their functional rehabilitation goals.

· Observing and reporting on clients’ progress accurately, succinctly, and in a timely manner.

· Maintaining confidentiality and appropriate documentation, including reports for funders.

· Communicating professionally, both verbally and in writing, including with clients, equipment vendors, and funders.

· Supervising Rehabilitation Assistants.

· Other occupational therapy duties as may arise.

*Key Qualifications:*

· Degree in occupational therapy (master’s level preferred).

· Registration in Good Standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC.

· Professional liability insurance.

· Standard First Aid Level C with CPR/AED.

· Safe and reliable vehicle with valid driver's license.

· Experience working with people with PTSD is preferred.

· Ability to work with others effectively.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Keen observational and problem-solving skills.

· Literacy with word-processing, electronic calendars, email, texting (and other potential computing/smartphone and administrative skills).

Pay: $65.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
