Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and occupational health environments. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.

*Responsibilities*
* Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
* Provide therapy services focused on improving patients' ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

*Skills*
* Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy.
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to patient care.
* Experience with geriatric populations and understanding their specific needs.
* Familiarity with outpatient settings, home health care, skilled nursing facilities, and occupational health practices.
* Ability to effectively assist patients in performing ADLs.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
