Reflecting on Bangkok: A Note of Thanks from CAOT
CAOT sends a heartfelt thank you to WFOT and everyone who helped make the 19th Congress in Bangkok such a success. It was a testament to the strength and reach of our global profession, and a highlight of CAOT's centennial year. We are proud of the Canadians who traveled to Thailand and represented our community so well. We look forward to staying connected with the international occupational therapy community in the years ahead.

Start Planning for CAOT Centennial Conference 2026
As CAOT celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, its annual gathering of the occupational therapy community will mark a major milestone for the profession in Canada. Registration is now open for the CAOT Centennial Conference, which is taking place in Tiohtià:ke|Mooniyang/Montréal, Québec, from May 13-15.
During the Closing Ceremony, participants will experience an innovative, bilingual, PechaKucha-style format that brings together visionary OT and OTA voices from across the profession in English and French. Through rapid-fire storytelling and powerful visuals, you will hear from established and emerging scholars, clinicians, and leaders as they paint a compelling picture of occupational therapy's next 100 years in Canada. It will be moderated by Soëla Bandaly, an OT currently serving as the Québec Regional Director and as National Advisor for CAOT’s Francophone Services.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming part of everyday healthcare practice – but what does thoughtful, ethical AI use look like in occupational therapy? Join associate professor and OT Michael Jensen and host Soëla Bandaly to explore how large AI language models are showing up in occupational therapy education and practice, and how occupational therapy clinicians can engage with them critically and intentionally.
