Job (re)-integration: Occupational therapist as a valuable resource
The Italian Association of Occupational Therapists (AITO), as it yearly does, is organizing its annual congress to mark National Occupational Therapy Day (May 24th).
The cornerstone topic of 2024 will be job (re)integration and all related areas.
The overarching goal of occupational therapy is to support people's "health, well-being, and participation in life through engagement in occupation"; Work is one of eight occupations categorized within the domain of occupational therapy practice. Occupational therapy practitioners provide services to promote health and wellness, to maximize work performance and participation for clients who experience challenges in attaining, maintaining, or resuming work because of disease, disability, or injury. When delivering work-related services, OTs consider the characteristics of the client, work tasks, environments, and contexts. For these reasons, the goal of this congress is to disseminate the literature and current practices used in Italy and around the world for job (re)integration of people with disabilities.
Therefore AITO is asking to International Occupational Therapists expert on the topic video-abstracts to be broadcast during the congress.
