Occupational Therapy and Education: Practices and Discourses
In December 2023, the Universidad del Valle published the book Occupational Therapy and Education: Practices and Discourses. This book was edited by occupational therapists Aleida Fernández Moreno, Clara Duarte Cuervo, and Jaqueline Cruz Perdomo, and it includes contributions from a significant group of seventeen Colombian occupational therapy educators and researchers.
The book is a breakthrough that resulted from "the inconvenience of not having enough publications in occupational therapy in the educational sector of Colombia." Its editors first contemplated sharing Colombian experiences in this area to extend the scope of teaching, learning, reflection, and transformation.
It is a partial x-ray, with eleven chapters representing practices, knowledge, techniques, processes, and methods derived from work experience in three Colombian geographical regions.
The primary goal of both editors and contributors was to "expand the dialogue around the encounter between occupational therapy and education."

Revista Ocupación Humana- Colombian Occupational Therapy Journal in the Latindex Catalogue 2.0
Recently, the Revista Ocupación Humana has been included in the Latindex Catalogue 2.0 after passing, with excellent results, the corresponding process of the quality criteria.
Latindex is an initiative of a network of institutions led by the National Autonomous University of México – UNAM, which has two information products:
1. A directory offering bibliographic data and contact information for all registered print and online journals. The Revista Ocupación Humana has been registered in that Directory since 2018.
2. The Catalogue 2.0., composed only of online journals with the highest quality standards according to the Latindex methodology.
The Catalogue 2.0 has emerged “as a reliable reference for journals of high academic quality, and at the same time works as a compendium of good editorial practices for journals available online” (Latindex 2023)
