Report on World Occupational Therapy Day Initiatives by Saudi Occupational Therapy Association.

Saudi Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) organized multiple initiatives across various regions Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to celebrate World Occupational Therapy Day. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness about the significance of occupational therapy and its role in improving quality of life.

Riyadh region:

In Riyadh, SOTA launched an awareness campaign to educate the public about occupational therapy.

In addition to collaboration with the Ministry of Health event that emphasize the field's critical role in healthcare.

Al-Ahsa region:

In Al-Ahsa, an awareness campaign was held in partnership with King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. This event focused on engaging healthcare professionals and students to spread knowledge about occupational therapy's speciality.

Jeddah region:

In Jeddah, SOTA targeted younger audiences by organizing an awareness campaign at a high school. This initiative aimed to inspire students and increase understanding of the importance of rehabilitation and occupational therapy.

Tabuk region:

A public awareness campaign was conducted in Tabuk in cooperation with the Tabuk Health Cluster. Held in a community space, the event engaged the public to highlight occupational therapy's impact on health and well-being.

These initiatives significantly contributed to enhancing public awareness of occupational therapy across KSA, reaching diverse audiences in schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and public spaces. By organising targeted campaigns in multiple regions, SOTA effectively showcased the critical role of occupational therapy in promoting health, independence, and overall well-being. Each campaign was tailored to address the unique needs of the local population, ensuring maximum engagement and impact. Through its proactive efforts, SOTA not only educated the public about the profession but also reinforced its commitment to building a stronger connection between the healthcare community and society.
