Sue was WFOT delegate New Zealand 1973-198. Her roles in WFOT included Chair of the Legislation Committee 1976-78, Second Vice President 1978-82 and First Vice President 1982-86.
1978 -1980: Sue de Gilio was appointed as the co-ordinator of WFOT representatives to WHO Regional Offices, with special responsibility to co-ordinate with WHO and ILO (International Labour Organisation), which had long term impact for future collaboration particularly with WHO. She was also appointed WFOT Regional Representative to the WHO Office for the Western Pacific from 1978-1982. In 1978 she represented WFOT as 2nd Vice President to study occupational therapy developments and developments in WHO the programme relating to Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation.
WFOT acknowledges Sue’s contribution to the Federation and the profession.
