This year the XVIII Brazilian Congress of Occupational Therapy (XVIII CBTO) will take place between September 23 and 25, 2025, in Campo Grande – MS, one of the main cities in the Brazilian Midwest.
With the central theme Participation as the essence of Occupational Therapy: history, science, politics, ethics and contemporaneity, the XVIII CBTO will bring together, in person, occupational therapists and students, with the aim of sharing knowledge and strengthening ties in the area.
The CBTO is the largest national scientific event in the profession, providing opportunities for broad debates on themes and subjects that are relevant to professionals and students. In this edition, the CBTO aims to show how Occupational Therapy is essential to promote participation, with historical roots in this outcome, a solid scientific basis and a fundamental ethical and political role in contemporary society.
In this sense, the XVIII CBTO will be an event with valuable opportunities to share knowledge, learning and experiences. It will be an occasion to create and strengthen professional relationships, enable connections and partnerships, expand the network of contacts for Occupational Therapy in the country and worldwide, in addition to advancing in the consolidation of the profession.
We are confident that, together, we can achieve great advances in promoting the growth of Occupational Therapy in the five regions of Brazil and reinforce ABRATO's commitment to the development of the profession, training and qualification of occupational therapists in the country, as well as expanding professional recognition and appreciation in the most diverse contexts of Occupational Therapy practice.
