We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Senior Occupational Therapist with a background in neurorehabilitation. Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation and support tailored to each client's individual needs. Your duties will include:
Carrying out specialist assessments and developing personalised, evidence-based treatment plans
Collaborating with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Supporting clients with complex needs, including those with behavioural challenges
Managing your own caseload efficiently, including supervision of junior staff and students
Leading on service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Delivering educational sessions and promoting best practice across the team
Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring professional standards are met
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria:
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration
Minimum 2 years' experience in neurology, stroke care, and/or neurorehabilitation
Confidence in assessing and treating adults with complex neurological conditions (e.g. acquired brain injury)
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and contributing to person-centred care planning
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and report writing skills
Ability to work well under pressure with a high level of attention to detail
