*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions. This role involves working with clients across various settings, including outpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, and schools, focusing on enhancing their ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and promoting independence.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
* Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving clients' functional abilities in daily activities.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care.
* Educate clients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improving daily functioning.
* Document client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Provide early intervention services for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
* Maintain knowledge of anatomy and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy practices.
*Qualifications*
* A degree in Occupational or PT Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapy
* Experience in occupational health, outpatient settings, acute care, or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
* Familiarity with ADLs and the ability to design interventions that promote independence in daily living tasks.
* Knowledge of speech therapy principles is a plus for collaborative treatment approaches.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational and Physical Therapy.
Pay: $46.00 - $51.00 per hour
