Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities.

We support people across a wide range of services within residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training.

Our valued Occupational Therapy Manager will in conjunction with the wider multi-disciplinary team have the opportunity to support the implementation of Our Shared Ambition within a positive and fulfilling work environment.

Role Purpose

The Occupational Therapy Manager will lead a dedicated team who are committed to delivering high quality Occupational Therapy Services to people accessing Stewarts Care. The Occupational Therapy Manager will provide strategic and clinical leadership across a range of OT specialisms.

The Occupational Therapy Manager will manage, plan and deliver Occupational Therapy Services within Stewarts Care ensuring a high-quality person-centred service in line with best practice.

The Person

  • Be registered as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU, OR have commitment to become registered within a short time frame before being offered a contract.
  • Have a minimum five years full time, post qualification clinical experience.
  • Maintains annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Evidence of participation in continued professional development.
  • Holds a full clean driving license and access to a car.
  • Demonstrates competence and capability of undertaking the duties attached to the office.
  • Previous health service management experience
  • Experience working within the disability sector is an advantage
  • Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of service evaluation and planning
  • Evidence of the ability to achieve results through effective collaboration in a complex environment
