Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating residents’ functional abilities and developing customized therapy plans to help them regain independence in daily living activities. This is a meaningful opportunity to support recovery and enhance quality of life in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities:
Perform evaluations and create individualized treatment plans based on resident needs
Provide direct therapy services focused on improving ADLs, fine motor skills, and cognitive functions
Collaborate with physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapy techniques and equipment use
Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania (Required)
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills
Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid regulations and EMR systems
