We’re looking for a skilled, compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a positive impact on children's lives.

*Position Summary*
We’re seeking an enthusiastic *Occupational Therapist (OT)* to support our mission to help children achieve their highest potential. The OT working in the Esperanza Children’s Therapy Clinic will examine and evaluate children ages 3 to 18 who need assistance with sensory processing, so they can manage daily activities. The OT will provide necessary treatment to maximize the child’s independence. The OT will provide support to the family of the child receiving services in the clinic.

*Work Requirements*
* Design a treatment plan that meets the child’s diagnosis, needs, and goals.
* Meet the Esperanza Clinic documentation requirements.
* Meet the Esperanza Clinic billing deadlines.
* Support the child’s family.
* Identify and meet the child’s goals and needs as recorded in the evaluation report.
* Develop plans of care using quality and personalized evidence-based treatment techniques that improve the child’s daily activities.
* Evaluate the effects of the treatment plan and communicate the progress to the family.
* Provide quality documentation of the treatment plan.
* Document the services provided in WebPT for billing purposes.
* Reliable transportation is required so you arrive in a timely manner.
* Develop an individualized treatment plan that meets the child’s needs, goals, and outcomes.
* Assist the child with sensory processing disorders so daily tasks can be managed.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and communicate the progress to the family.
* Update the treatment plans according to the Clinic guidelines.
* Provide quality documentation of the treatment services to WebPT for submission into the third-party billing process.
* All other job duties as assigned.

*Qualifications & Skills*
* Education: Graduate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
* A New Mexico state license as an Occupational Therapist.
* Work experience with children in a clinic setting as an Occupational Therapist.
* Bilingual skills English/Spanish are a plus.
* Ability to use decision making skills that objectively and fairly evaluate a situation, ensuring an ethical decision is made that balances the needs of the client, the needs of the oneself, and the needs of the company.
* Ability to work in a changing environment, gathering relevant information and applying critical thinking to integrate a change or modify a program with minimal personal and client resistance.

*Physical Requirements*

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes, equipment) without assistance. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, including moving around the workspace, performing tasks, and interacting with colleagues or customers. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel to access various items, equipment, or workspaces as required. Aptitude to reach overhead, horizontally, and below waist level to retrieve and handle objects or materials. Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the workday. Physical ability to move freely and quickly in various work environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven terrain if necessary. If the job involves driving, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly may be required.
