Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Full-Time Occupational Therapist. This position is based out of our Geneva facility and requires some travel to our Bloomingdale location. The annual salary is $72,000 - $78,000 based on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Provides and directs Occupational Therapy services to residents and students including assessment, goals, treatment plans, program planning and implementation, related documentation and communication.
Perform annual evaluation for IPP and IEP meetings
Performs duties as clinical instructor for potential OT students and supervises COTAs
Assists with aqua therapy and orthotics as needed
Provides training and in-services to staff and caregivers on occupational therapy related topics as needed
Adheres to applicable principles and practices of occupational therapy, Marklund policies and procedures and state regulations

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Experience and Skills:
Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist in Illinois
Possess current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers
Valid Driver’s License
Experience with OT treatment, evaluations & IEP meetings required
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements
