As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities to regain their independence and improve their daily living skills. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Your ultimate goal will be to help patients achieve their maximum level of function and independence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working with patients with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or other healthcare setting
Specialization in a particular area of Occupational Therapy
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations to determine their physical, mental, and emotional needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide hands-on therapy to patients to improve their range of motion, strength, and coordination
Educate patients and their families on how to safely and effectively perform daily living tasks
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
