A recognized organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their growing preschool in Queens. Working with children with special needs, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for performing evaluations and providing clinical interventions to support children's developmental and functional needs.
About the Opportunity:
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am to 2:30/3pm
Setting: Preschool
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and group therapy sessions
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, participating in classroom and group room programs
Address developmental areas, including self-care, home-school activities, and play/leisure skills
Working with patients dealing with neuromuscular, sensory-motor, visual-motor, perceptual, psycho-social, and cognitive development
Assist with positioning and environmental adaptations for optimal function and health
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in NYSD
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Desired Skills:
Experience working with Preschool-aged children
