Occupational Therapist

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients across various settings, including schools, acute care facilities, and home health environments. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or those recovering from injuries.

*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental capabilities to identify their needs.
* Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' daily living skills.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
* Provide therapy in various settings such as schools, inpatient facilities, ICU, and home health environments.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improvement.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, treatments provided, and progress notes.

*Requirements*
* A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
* Experience in settings such as geriatrics, acute care, or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
* Knowledge of anatomy and the ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Previous experience in speech therapy or familiarity with home health practices is a plus.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
