*Position Summary:*
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide residents with the support they need to regain independence and improve their daily living skills.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist the Occupational Therapist in carrying out treatment plans tailored to residents' needs.
* Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to help residents achieve their functional goals.
* Monitor residents’ progress and report observations to the Occupational Therapist.
* Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and equipment usage.
* Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive resident care.
* Support and motivate residents throughout their rehabilitation journey.
*Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA.
* Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (preferred but not required).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
