Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

*Position Summary:*
South Creek Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The COTA will assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized care plans to help residents achieve their highest level of function and independence. This role involves working closely with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment focused on quality care.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Treatment Implementation:* Assist in carrying out treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and use of adaptive equipment.
* *Resident Care:* Provide hands-on care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity throughout therapy sessions.
* *Documentation:* Accurately document resident progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in condition in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
* *Collaboration:* Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, and Physicians, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
* *Resident & Family Education:* Educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities that can be performed at home to enhance recovery and maintain progress.
* *Compliance:* Adhere to all state and federal regulations, facility policies, and ethical standards of practice for occupational therapy.

*Qualifications:*
* *Certification:* Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
* *Licensure:* Valid state license to practice as a COTA in Washington.
* *Experience:* Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting is preferred.
* *Skills:* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* *Physical Requirements:* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and supporting residents during therapy sessions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
