RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist occupational therapists in evaluating and assessing patients' needs and capabilities
Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide hands-on therapy and interventions to patients as part of their treatment plan
Teach patients new skills and techniques to enhance their independence and daily functioning
Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and thoroughly
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Newly licensed COTA are welcome to apply
With Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plus
Experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is preferred
Certification as an occupational therapy assistant
Interest in working with the geriatric population
Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work with patients of all ages and varying conditions
