Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services to patients in various settings, including clinics, inpatient facilities, and outpatient programs. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.

*Duties*
* Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
* Provide direct patient care, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance patient independence.
* Conduct therapeutic activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
* Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment goals and home exercise programs.
* Participate in patient assessments and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

*Requirements*
* Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and various therapeutic techniques.
* Experience in clinic, inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, geriatrics, or home health settings is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical imaging processes is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
* Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
