Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics. Your primary focus will be on helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.

*Responsibilities*
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients.
* Provide direct patient care by guiding them through therapeutic activities aimed at improving their ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and techniques to promote recovery.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with clinic standards.

*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of geriatrics, anatomy, and physiology to effectively assess patient needs.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and medical imaging processes.
* Experience working in outpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
* Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Proficiency in assisting patients with ADLs, ensuring they receive compassionate support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
