Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care within the homecare setting. The COTA will work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals through therapeutic activities and interventions.

*Responsibilities*
* Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Provide direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
* Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support effective treatment strategies.
* Document patient progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist.
* Maintain an organized schedule and communication with patients.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary care discussions.
* Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home programs to enhance recovery.
* Support patients in achieving their goals related to daily living activities, mobility, and overall function.

*Experience*
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in occupational health or a similar setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care is essential.
* Experience working in home health, skilled nursing facilities or inpatient environments is advantageous.
* A strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to rehabilitation practices is required.
* Demonstrated ability to assist patients effectively while promoting independence and dignity.

Job Types: PRN, Contract, Per diem

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
