OT Exchange 2024

Occupational Therapy Australia will be hosting the OT Exchange 2024 (OTX2024) on 13-14 June at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre in Western Australia.

The OT Exchange is Australia’s leading professional development conference event for OTs. It is an interactive event developed especially for clinicians where participants are encouraged to contribute, share and employ ideas of value. It is designed so that all participants will implement solutions into their own work.

OTX2024 will focus on the practice areas of Knowledge Translation, Paediatrics, Older Persons, Disability and Emerging & Innovative Practices.

Registration for OTX2024 will open on 1 February 2024. Visit www.otausevents.com.au/otexchange2024 to express your interest and stay updated.

The call for OTX2024 presentations is open from 29 August to 8 November 2023. We welcome presentation submissions from clinicians, students and researchers. Presentation submissions can include, but are not limited to:

  • Project briefs
  • Practical applications of evidence-based practice
  • Case studies
  • Quality improvement studies
  • Research findings
  • Stories and experiences

For more information on submitting a presentation, visit www.otausevents.com.au/otexchange2024/call-for-presentations.

Submission mentoring is available and closes on 2 November 2023.

OT Week 2023

OT Week in Australia will run from 23-29 October. This year, OTA has adopted the

the WFOTs’ theme Unity Through Community and we are asking OTs, clients, partners and supporters to tell us how they create unity and connect to their communities.

As a profession, we are united by community. As OTs, we play a vital and dynamic role in helping people engage with and participate in their community – in whichever way is meaningful to them. Not only do we work across a broad range of settings, we also help people engage in meaningful occupations.

This year, we are recognising the OT profession, celebrating the brilliant OTs working today and raising the profile of OT across the Australian community. Join us and tell us how you unite for OT.
