Current Issues

We are in a climate of change here in New Zealand, especially with regard to our Health System. The Government is introducing a new health structure, one which includes a Maori Health Authority with the aim of reducing health inequalities for Maori, NZ's indigenous people.

On another level, the Unions are pressing the Government on issues of pay equity for Allied Health Professionals, including Occupational Therapists. Many of us have joined the campaign to demonstrate how invaluable we are to supporting better health outcomes.
