New president for the Swiss OT Association

On the 25th May 2019 Iris Lüscher handed over her president work and welcomed Colette Carroz as the new Swiss OT president. We say a big thank you to Iris Lüscher for her valuable and hard work over the last 8 years. And we wish Colette Carroz all the best in her new role.

Swiss Occupational Therapy Congress 2019

On the 6th and 7th September 2019 the Swiss Occupational Therapy Congress in Locarno took place. The WFOT delegation held a stand and invited OT`s to find out more about what the WFOT does and encouraged them to become members.

At the congress the WFOT delegates and a member of the management team of the Swiss OT Association Carried out a workshop about the emerging fields of Occupational Therapy identified by WFOT and what chances they offer Switzerland.

Active discussion and interaction took place between the delegates and the 25 participants, exploring the different areas and needs in Switzerland.


Mininum standards

The WFOT delegates have focused on raising the awarenes of the mininum standards with the management team of the Swiss OT Association, with the Swiss OT members and in November at the annual presidents conference(this is a meeting between the Swiss OT Association and the Swiss OT presidents from different regions in Switzerland).

OT Day 2019

Together with the 3 German speaking associations: Germany, Austria and Switzerland(DACH) a combined slogan for the OT day 2019 was released.

“Occupational Therapy: To keep your life in your hands!” Posters and cards were produced and distributed on OT day.

The theme for 2020 for the Swiss OT Association is:
