Exploring the Occupation of Rest

The purpose if this research is to learn more about the occupation of rest and how it is understood and addressed in occupational therapy practice. The goal is to understand if and how current occupational therapists address rest. This information will be collected in the form of online surveys from current OT/OTAs in any practice setting.

Microsoft Forms is the platform used for taking the survey. There will be an informed consent in the first few pages of the survey, then followed by the survey questions. This will ensure the potential participants are consenting prior to any study related activities. There will be one survey that will consist of multiple-choice answers and open-ended answers. The one-time survey should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete.

Once data is collected, it will be extracted from the survey site and saved onto the student investigator’s personal password protected laptop. All data remains confidential and anonymous as there is no identifying information asked on the survey. All data will be kept for 3 years after the competition of the study before it is destroyed.

The Survey will conclude on May 31, 2021 to begin synthesizing data.
